They ripped on my first wear!! These supposedly unbreakable tights are useless! And 5X the price!!
I received two pairs of Sheertex tights- an Unbreakable Sheer Shaping Tight, and an Unbreakable Sheer Tight, both in Medium, for Christmas. This was a very expensive purchase for my mom, but we believed in the product's mission, as well as buying quality products that would last us a lifetime, rather than disposable goods.
However, the first time I tried on the Unbreakable Shaping tight, they pulled, and the loop formed was not able to be massaged out as directed on the packaging. In addition, they slipped down throughout the day, indicating that they were the wrong size. I was soon in touch with a representative at Sheertex, who told me that under the 30-day Warranty program, I could receive a replacement tight, in a size Small.
I then received an automated email, instructing me to destroy the damaged pair, in order to receive the new pair. I was told to cut the tights in half and send a picture for proof. I called to inquire why this was necessary, and I was told that Sheertex was trying to encourage conscious consuming, and that I should consider whether or not the tights are "truly unwearable" to save the environment.
It is absolutely ridiculous to use the guilt of harming the environment to force customers to accept faulty products. Yes, I can technically wear these tights despite their damage. But, if I wanted to wear broken tights, then I would have purchased $12 ones from a department store, not invested $70 in Sheertex. The fact that Sheertex insisted that I destroy the tights that did not hold up to their name, just so I may receive an undamaged product is completely wasteful and missing the point.
If Sheertex truly embodied sustainability and product quality, they would replace damaged products to ensure their customers remained loyal, and didn't instead decide that buying disposable tights was just as good as spending hundreds on their products. It is not on a consumer themselves to come to terms with wearing damaged goods in the name of sustainability- it is on the company that preaches sustainability to provide a good product.
If anything Sheertex could ask their consumers to donate the damage tights or give to a friend. But damaging clothing so it is no longer wearable is not a sustainable option.
Update: I sent this review to Sheertex and they finally agreed to send me a replacement pair. However, I am not impressed with their business model and will not be shopping there again.

So I bought these tights hoping they won’t break like normal ones, but there’s already a scratch/small hole on the first wear. They won’t give me a replacement because it’s after 30 day warranty. I just didn’t have an occasion to wear it until today. They offered me a discount on the next purchase but no thank you I’m not spending another $80 on something that isn’t “unbreakable” as advertised.
NOT WORTH IT. My ring barely brushed over it and immediately snagged a hole. $80 down the drain. Don’t do it. Also, they run short. I’m only 5,4” 135 and I could barely get the medium size all the way up and they would still slip down.
My experience with Sheertex has been horrible, HORRIBLE! I did write a review on the Sheertex site (1 Star) several days ago and now notice that it is not available on their website now or it is buried behind so many layers that you will never find it. They do not have a way to sort reviews by stars or by date. I wonder why they would set up their system like that....oh yeah....to bury any of the bad stuff. We are on to you, Sheertex - you are giving Canada a bad name.
I spent over $250 dollars on tights several months ago. They came during the PANDEMIC - and I was working from home and not wearing work clothes. I ordered to their sizing guidelines and tried one pair on when they came. Seemed OK, but I didn’t spend any time in them. Fast forward to last week when I finally emerged from isolation and wore a pair to church. Almost immediately as I walked in them, they started sliding down my torso and past my hips. I couldn’t keep them up and ended up taking them completely off in the church restroom. I contacted Sheertex and they said they couldn’t do anything because I was outside the 30 day window. It is a PANDEMIC people - everyone else is adjusting how they do business - but not you. I am utterly sick that I spent so much money with you and am stuck with product that is no good to me (except maybe tying up a tomato plant or two in the garden.). Then they had the nerve to offer me a 30% discount to buy more!! They way I see it, this is a WIN (Sheertex) LOSE (me) scenario that I am smart enough not to go for. You already have over $250 of my hard earned disposable income - I think that is $250 too much!
I am going to make it my mission to spread the word about Sheertex and your practices. No one else should be scammed by you if I can help it.
BUYER BEWARE!!! This is not an ethical, customer-friendly organization. Spend your money elsewhere.
Fool me once, shame on YOU; fool me twice...shame on ME. You have picked on the wrong girl, Sheertex.
I ordered a pair of Sheertex on September 2020. I only wore them about 5 times total, given the pandemic. When I tried them on today, I realized they were defective, with one of the fibers dislodged and pulling on the rest of the fabric. I contacted customer support, provided them with pictures, and they said they would be unable to help me given that their warranty is only for 30 days. I believe that tights these expensive should not be defective after 5 uses. I will never purchase from this brand again - for the cost of these tights, I could've gotten much better quality leggings elsewhere.
This was such a good purchase! My order came in pretty (sustainable!) packaging super quickly, my tights are super cute, and they're just as durable as they say! I couldn't believe it but am SO glad I finally bought these after seeing the ads, it's worth it!
HORRIBLE, FALSE ADVERTISING. This is the first negative online review I've ever left for a product, but the experience was SO bad that I felt I had to do it. First off, this is the only site where I've seen honest reviews about this product, and that just frustrated me even more.
My sister and I got these tights for Christmas (I know the review is a bit delayed :)) and opened them excited to put them on. Only we put them on and both of our tights already had lines in them. I was trying to massage them out as they'd mentioned on the packaging and my hang nail tore my sister's tights (later mine as well). Naturally we wrote the company shocked. They told us it was a defect and would send new tights, but first we had to cut them in half. We did so, sent the picture, and they sent us new ones. Only for us to try the new ones on and the SAME THING HAPPENED. Our hang nails, finger nails, dog's nails, bumping into a wall, etc. have all snagged and slightly torn my tights. We complained and they finally agreed to give us a refund, but only to again cut the tights in half. It's a joke of a company, and they're selling products that don't do what they advertise. Not to mention awful customer service. I wish I could post pictures to share...
Bad advertising! Got these and yeah, they don't last! I'm not going to waste your time by writing what other reviewers already have. Quality is bad, customer service is worse...read more reviews here and yeah, that's basically it. Save your money. Buy some cheapies, and keep a spare pair kicking around in your desk or something.
Update...As you can see by their reply here, 30 days is all the time you get. If I am wearing them 5 days a week that's like 20 wears that they guarantee (but who wears the exact same stockings every workday for a month?). I can typically get 3-5 wears from a cheapie pair that doesn't look much different and when you compare the price it's still cheaper to go with the cheapies. Just not something I'd personally recommend unless you have enough money to be willing to flush it. If money isn't any kind of issue for you, sure, they're gonna last a little bit longer. If you're the kind of person who would buy these as a treat to yourself and be disappointed if they didn't last...just don't waste your money.
I tried to put a review on the website because I had a bad experience. After I submitted the review, it never saved on their website. Absolute false advertising. They only allow 5 star ratings to appear on the review section of the website. Here is the review I wrote:
Honest review: Be wary, these tights are not what they advertise...
I heard about Sheertex through my friend, who recommended the brand to me. I was tired of always having to buy new tights due to runs or snags. I asked my mom if she would get me a pair of Sheertex for Christmas. She was reluctant because of how expensive they are, however I assured her that they were “The World’s Strongest Tights” as advertised on their website. I explained that they were an investment piece, and would last me a long time.
I received a bundle of two tights for Christmas and didn’t have an excuse to wear them over the holiday due to the lockdown. In-person work opened up in February and I was eager to wear my tights. On the third time that I wore the tights, someone walked past me and I felt something on my thigh. I looked down in horror because a snag had appeared. I immediately panicked thinking about how expensive these tights were and that I already got a snag in them even though they are supposedly “10x stronger than steel”. I was assured however because I thought that customer service would be able to help me out.
Long story short, I was wrong. Customer service said that because this happened two weeks after the warranty, they were unable to do anything. After numerous email exchanges, I was told their answer was final - they couldn’t help due to the fact our “warranty period” was past 30 days. Ironically, this was 2 weeks past the 30 days. I am extremely disappointed with the Sheertex product and Sheertex customer service. I feel guilty that my mom spent over $120 on tights that will snag just as easily as tights you can buy at the Dollar Store for $3. At least if I snag those $3 tights, I won’t have wasted my money.
Update: The next time I tried to wear these tights again, I noticed little horizontal pulls all up the thigh. For reference, I am 5”6, 127 lbs and bought a medium. I don’t think it was a sizing issue. These tights are just not as durable as they state, or maybe I received a defective pair.
Update 2 (May 4, 2021): I received a package in the mail today from Sheertex. It was a brand new pair of Classic Sheer Tights. Thank you so much for reaching out and sending a new pair! It is greatly appreciated!
My tights ripped the first wear. They replaced the tights quickly, and then my second pair ripped on their first wear. These are supposedly unbreakable tights - very false advertising in my experience. For reference, I work in an office, and don't have long nails. My 15$ tights have lasted longer, so I'll be sticking with those.
I ordered two sets of Duos (one set was black and the other was nude). The pantyhose are very strong, and withstood the nipping of my puppy. However, after only a couple of wears, one of the black pair got a hole in the toe. I reached out to Sheertex, and someone immediately responded, requesting that I provide photos of the hole. I did so. That is the last I have heard from them. That was January 21, 2021. I sent emails on February 2 and February 19, 2021 asking about the status of my warranty claim, and have not heard anything back.
After I initially brought my damaged product to the attention of Sheertex, I began wearing one of the nude pair, and it, too, has developed holes (in the crotch area). I mentioned this in my February 19 follow-up email, but do not expect to ever get a response.
I have owned all four of these tights for less than two months. I have been wearing pantyhose on a daily basis for work for years. I really do like how strong these pantyhose are, but considering the price, I was very disappointed that two out of the four pair I purchased developed holes after less than a handful of wears. I have cheap, drugstore pantyhose that have lasted longer. Literally. I have some cheap pantyhose in my drawer that are older, and have been worn more often, that do not have holes.
I wish the price were lower if the quality is not going to be there. They are really nice, strong pantyhose, but just too expensive if they're going to quickly develop holes. But more than anything, the thing that is most upsetting is the terrible customer service.
I was so disappointed to discover that these tights are WAY too constricting, even in the larger sizes. I originally ordered the XL because according to their weight-focused sizing chart I was in the absolute lowest end of the scale for that size. (Why is the size chart not based on pant size or waist/hip measurements?) When they arrived and I discovered they were far too uncomfortable to wear even standing up, I pleaded for an exchange and they conceded by voiding my warranty (even though the misguiding size chart was their error, and nowhere in the purchase process was there any indication that this would be a final sale with no returns). They sent me their absolute largest size, which is supposed to fit folks that are even above 300lbs! And yet the waist band was exactly the same width, the only difference was far more material in the legs for a longer fit. If I was a 7ft tall Amazonian warrior maybe that would have been appreciated, but I was looking for more room in the hips and stomach, like most women. I noticed that despite the size label on the packaging, the tights themselves had the number 6 for XL and the number 8 for 3XL stitched into them. If those numbers correspond to regular size guides, in what world is a size 6 an XL? I'm surprised no other plus sized person has written about this, but then I discovered they delete negative reviews (mine disappeared after 1 minute, I had to repost from an incognito window to take a screenshot as proof). I had been waiting a long time to buy these tights and my disappointment was so strong that I would give lower than a 1 star review if I could. I did not ask for overpriced torture-level shapewear.
This company has the absolute worst customer service. My package did not arrive for 2 months and they essentially told me to figure out what to do myself, telling me to call USPS and figure out what the problem is. I work in e-commerce and can assure you that the sender if the one responsible for checking on shipping. It seems my experience is not unique seeing the other reviews they have.
